As someone with synesthesia, I never thought of June to be blue! It's very pink/green to me, like watermelon or strawberries. I always love seeing other people's perspectives on things like that, so I'm glad you wrote this! Overall, it's a great piece, and I'll definitely have to check out some of your book recs!
